We are looking for a Production Mixing Technician to perform tasks related to the preparation, mixing, and manufacturing of microbial growth culture media.
Anaerobe Systems' products are sold to hospitals, universities, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology companies around the world for diagnosing infections and performing research on anaerobic bacteria.
We are looking for someone with great attention to detail, who is responsible and conscientious.
This position performs the first steps in our product manufacturing process and is critical in ensuring high quality products.
Major Duties Include:
Preparing manufacturing records to match the production schedule, measuring raw materials using scales and balances, mixing ingredients in accordance to manufacturing records, the use of autoclaves, boilers, stir plates, steam sterilizer reactors, water baths, and pH meters for the production of microbial growth media.
This position is also responsible for maintaining documents, keeping records, tracking raw material inventory, and helping on the production assembly line when needed.
Physical requirements:
-Stand for extended periods of time (up to 2 hrs) -Lift up to 40lbs, push wheeled tanks and containers on wheels in excess of 100lbs.
-Work while wearing personal protective equipment, including lab coats, gloves, respirator mask, and safety glasses.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in a biological science or chemistry is preferred but not required.
- The position requires basic knowledge of chemistry as well as general math skills.
- No experience necessary - Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English Benefits include:
