Robotics & Controls Engineer- surgical robotics

Our client is an innovative engineering incubator targeting early-stage medical device design (surgical robotics), located south of San Jose, CA.
The Sr/Principal Robotics & Controls Engineer will be responsible for algorithms and controls required to support the optimal function of a novel surgical robotic system.
They need to be highly experienced in new product development ensuring the integration, evaluation and testing of fully functional surgical robotic prototypes.
ResponsibilitiesBe an early contributor to designing & building a novel robotics platform, from establishing its initial clinical value proposition through clinical trials and to the development of a successful commercial productManage a team of 3-5 software developers including both consultants and employeesTranslate clinical and user needs into software design requirements, assessing those with practical design architecturesImplement designs into testable prototypes for efficient learnings and quick iteration loops through design verificationDetermine software development timelines, collaborate on overall program timelines, and lead a team in executing to those timelinesDocument and communicate your work through design reviews, establishing & meeting benchmark timelines and essential document releasesQualifications/ExperienceBS in software-related field, other relevant degree or equivalent work experience7-10
years of relevant surgical robotics industry experience (experience managing people is preferred)Comfortable working with high levels of ambiguity and an ability to convert that into tangible outcomesExperience with medical device development process, design control, risk management, testing, design verification, and regulatory processes i.

and Python programming skills, following software development best practices (unit testing, code review, etc.
)Strong debug skills and experience efficiently implementing new featuresAppreciation for how early design decisions cascade into outcomes later; ability to make smart decisions regarding software architecture design, clinical workflow, regulations, and risk management to save time and effort laterEmployment typeFULL TIME.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
