Job Description
Wolfspeed is looking to add an Assembly Process Engineer to our team. This job opportunity is based in Morgan Hill, CA with our newly acquired LDMOS and GaN fab (formerly part of Infineon). You will be part of Wolfspeed's RF-power packaging production group and supporting our Process/Equipment Engineering Group.
Due to ITAR Regulations, this role must be filled by a US Citizen or a Green Card holder.

What can you do for Wolfspeed?
Work in process sustaining in the back end responsible for yield and efficiency improvement on either or both Die Attach and Wire bond process or any assembly process assigned by Management.
Work in identifying process weaknesses, propose solution, drive project and follow through until completion/implementation with minimum supervision.
Design, evaluate and qualify tools or jigs for use in production.
Define and optimize critical process parameters through the employment of DoE.
Lead Production, Equipment and QA Groups in solving line issues using the 8D methodology.
Interface with R&D, package and process development in the qualification and ramp up of new packages, processes or materials in production.
Implement cost saving projects in production.
Guide technicians in the proper equipment repair/sustaining of wire bond machines.
Lead projects with the aim of improving machine utilization through the use of MTBF/MTBA and downtime trend analysis methods.
Employ engineering methods such as SPC, FMEA, Pareto Analysis, Control Charts, and Poka Yoke.
Identify critical and non-critical spares for major equipment in production.
Repair of machine downtime issues if needed.
Generate or improve work instructions, operating instruction, machine set-up instructions used in production
What you need for success:
Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder due to ITAR regulations.
Minimum BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering, or relevant education.
Has at least 5 years of experience in the field of Process or Equipment engineering, Package or Process Development or in Product Engineering in a high technology / high volume manufacturing environment.
Hands on engineer, will work in front of the tool most of the time (at least 80%).
Ability to provide good quality results under pressure and in a timely manner.
Highly motivated and must be able to work with minimum supervision.
Good analytical and problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Familiar with FMEA, SPC, Pareto Analysis, Control Charts, Poka Yoke, 8D methodology and DoE.
Familiar with back end manufacturing process such as Die Attach, Wire Bond, Forming, Seal, Laser mark, Tape and Reel
Familiarity with programming languages or vision software programming a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
